No one in the world wants to be a failure. We all want to be successful. There are millions of videos, articles, etc. on the internet telling the do’s and don’t’s to be wealthy and successful. While many of them are useful, most often it’s more about what you need to stop doing.
Perfection Is A Myth
It’s not necessary to be perfect to achieve something big in life. Success is set on the top of the ladder of failures. You don’t have to be perfect to become successful. Perfection is the lowest standard, because perfect doesn’t exist, in any area of life. There is no perfect time to start a business and no perfect time to quit your job. We have to give up the idea of perfection and just start taking action in your life.
Don’t let the fear of failure hold you back from reaching on your true potential. Prefer authenticity over perfection, live in authenticity. Be yourself and give all of yourself to whatever you are working on.
Stop Anticipating
Rather than hope for it, plan for it. For achieving success in any area of life, we need to create a plan for it. We can’t just imagine that it will happen. We are the creator of our life and that means daily weekly and monthly goals. And when you are setting goals, make them mean something.
Vague goals create vague results
Jack Canfield
We have to give up goals and replace them with belief. Most people set short generalized goals like, “Achieve XYZ degree” or “Loose 10 kgs”. Instead set clear goals with clear reasons WHY you must achieve them. Decide exactly what you want to achieve. Like loosing 10 kg and keeping 10 kg off because you want to have more energy and get more out of life. Think about earning $1 billion dollars so you can help yourself, family and others. Once you have narrowed your goals write them down. Set dated deadlines. Believe 100% you will achieve them. Review them and work on them every single day.
Don’t Play Small
What is the point of being on this earth if you are going to be like everyone else?
Arnold Schwarzenneger
If you want big results you need to give up playing small and start thinking big. If you don’t take calculated risks on yourself, your dreams will die with you. They will never go from thought to reality. And the world won’t benefit either.
Don’t Rely On Excuses.
The number one habit in the bestseller, The success principle is to take 100% accountability for your life. Every single aspect of it. You must give up blaming and eliminate excuses if you want to find success. Start holding yourself accountable for everything, good or bad. This might sting but it’s necessary to win big. Acknowledge you can do better, then do better.
Give Up Unhealthy Living.
Your physical body is the vehicle that drives you to success. If you are lacking energy, you are not at your best. So, if you want to be at your best, it makes sense to look after your physical body. It makes sense, to look into all the hacks, tricks and principles that lead to great health and energy. Focus on your health like you do your career or business. Not only you will look better and feel better, but you will also have more mental cognition to achieve more as well.
Give Up the Belief Of Overnight Success.
Overnight success does not exist, it’s a myth. The overnight success comes from the year, if not decades, of hard work, failures, sacrifices, dedication, and relentlessness. Successful people know this and don’t get distracted by shiny objects. As everything that shines is not the gold. They stay committed to their goals and ignore the “get right quick schemes”. Strive for constant and never-ending improvement to reach your goal.
Give Up On Toxic People
It’s no secret that your inner circle greatly, affects your outer world. If you truly want to live a successful, happy and fulfilled life, you have to be willing to give up the negative, toxic people that are dragging you down with them. This can be very hard as some of the people you have known for a long time. But don’t let a long friend-ship limit your long term potential.
Remember, success doesn’t mean always adding something to your life. It means having the self-discipline, to know there is something you have to give up. Building successful habits, and surrounding yourself with winners
