Ingredients
- 1 kg Chicken
- 1 kg rice Soaked
- 1 cup Yogurt
- 1 cup oil
- 1 tsp cumin seeds
- 7 Green cardamon
- 7 cloves
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 3 Bay leave
- 1 tsp Black Pepper
- 1 tbsp red chilli powder
- Salt to taste
- 1 cup Mint leaves
- 4 big onion sliced
- 2 tbsp Ginger Garlic Paste
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 4 to 5 Green Chilli
- 1 tsp orange food color
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Marinate Chicken with yogurt, lemon juice, salt, red chilli powder, ginger garlic paste, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds and 1/2 tsp black pepper..
- In a deep pan heat the water with 1/2 cup mint leaves, 1/2 tsp cumin seeds, 1/2 tsp black pepper, salt, bay leaves and cinnamon sticks and cook the rice..
- Heat oil in other pan and fry onion till golden brown and remove them from oil..
- Now add in this oil marinated chicken and stir for 2 to 4 minutes and cover for 5 minutes..
- After 5 minutes fry chicken till cook ...
- Grease the deep pot with oil and put half rice then sprinkle mint leaves, fried onions and add chicken mixture then again make a layer with rice and sprinkle mint leave and fried onion..
- Add orange food color in milk and mix well then pour on top..
- Cover the pot and simmer it for 25 minutes on slow heat...
- Hyderabadi Biryani is ready to serve..
