“Happiness, true happiness, is an inner quality. It is a state of mind. If your mind is at peace, you are happy. If your mind is at peace, but you have nothing else, you can be happy. If you have everything the world can give – pleasure, possessions, power – but lack peace of mind, you can never be happy.”

Dada Vaswani

One way to inculcate a bit of peace into your home is by being conscious about your living space. How often do you create routines in your home? These minor changes can bring peace at your home. Decoration your surrounding space can keep your senses happy. Rethink to create a peaceful home environment. It can make a big difference to your mood.

Adjustment can make life a worldly ideal. The more you compromise, the more you will be at peace. You will feel your strengths increasing and weaknesses diminishing. There are a dozen ways that you can do immediately to attain peace and harmony within your family.

Peace is a hard thing to come by. But with a perfect designated space, it definitely becomes an easy thing to achieve.

We all love creating a sanctuary or designating a home “office” area. To free up your thoughts we design our study area too. Just like this, designing your living space is much important (why?). When you spend time with your loved ones, it reflects.

Healthy relationships are perfect way to live a peaceful life. If your relationship with your husband or kids is tense, your home will lack peace. Living under the same roof, then, causes discontent and stress. And it becomes really difficult to attain peace.

Make sure to spread love among your kids. When the siblings fight, they are angry and they can’t get along. Peace disrupts. A little nurturing effort towards your relationships goes a long way to promote peace in your home.

Invest time in every relation. A romantic conversation with our spouse, a few extra minutes reading with kids at bedtime, may flow peace-filled love abundantly in our home.

What brings peace to you heart and mind? Connection with God, off course!

You must take time each day to focus on prayers. It will remind you that you have someone bigger than you to lean on. Taking your thoughts, worries, and fears to God in prayer will make you feel relaxed.

Make sure to talk to your kids about prayer. Tell them why we should always bring worries to Him. Doing this, your home will become an epitome of peace.

7. Set Work Boundaries

Now, at these times, where we like working at home, it’s hard to set boundaries. But for the sake peaceful life, setting work boundaries is really important. Making a schedule not to get caught up with work is a perfect idea. Following it strictly is mandatory too!

If you don’t set work boundaries, not only your home will be ignored but your kids will also be busy with devices all the afternoon.

Try spending quality time with everyone at your home. Do not bring your office work to home. Discussing work at dining table or at living lounge is where peace starts rolling. Making strict boundaries with your schedule and refusing to let the endless demands of work will fill your home with peace.
