What’s stopping you? Are you too tired? Didn’t get enough sleep? Don’t have enough energy? Don’t have enough time? Is that what stopping you right now? Don’t have enough money? Is that the thing? Or is the thing that’s stopping you, you? Excuses sound best to the person who’s making them. Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Get off the pitty reasons, telling everybody that you are sad, and sob stories trying to get people to show up your pitty parties and your pitty parades.
Make Efforts, Not Excuses!
If you see anyone in a rolls Royce or in 6 or 7-star hotel living their life to the fullest. don’t get jealous of them. Because someone worked so hard to get it. Nobody handed them nothing. So in spite of being jealous awake up. It’s time for you to take advantage of the access and the resources that you have in your country and community.
We live in a world of opposing realities. A world where some decide that there are limits to what they achieve and where some refuse to believe anything is impossible. We live in a world where you can find many examples of people who have gone from a severe lack to great wealth, from great unhappiness to great happiness.
Invalid Excuses.
But the majority remain stuck in the same hopeless position for years, truly believing they can never reach the place they want to get to why? Excuses for some people, excuses are the only constant in their life. The only thing you can predict is they will be blaming someone or something or some limit for the reason they are not where they want to be. Keep listening and you will discover these excuses are not only invalid, but you can turn it all around, starting today.
Here are the 7 most common excuses people make about why they can’t and 7 reasons why you can!
Excuse no 1: Time
If there is one thing, we all have in equal measure, it is time. Successful people use their time well, and unsuccessful people don’t. It really is that simple. Successful people plan ahead. They schedule daily, weekly and sometimes monthly their most important tasks and they make sure that they prioritize their most important jobs first. No one will ever get to a place where they are able to get it all done. So it is important that you use your time wisely and always do the most important, highest reward tasks first.
Revise your day today and see which things are taking you closer towards the life you want, and which are using up your time for no future reward. Remove the latter and you will have more time to fill with things that will improve your chances of success.
Excuse no 2: Opportunity
A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds.
Framcis Bacon
This is a big one because in truth. we all don’t have equal opportunity. Some are born into families with great wealth and opportunities, and sure some get lucky along the way. However, a few things are for sure:
- We all have the opportunity to be better than we were yesterday.
- We all have the opportunity to learn more, to grow more and succeed more every single day.
- You can find plenty of examples of many human beings who seem to have very little or no opportunity. But these people yet achieved their dream life built huge wealth and happiness through determination, planning and hard work. If they have done it, you can too.
There are no excuses if you have fewer opportunities than others. You might have to work a little harder. You definitely won’t get your dream life by complaining about your lack of opportunities. It is up to you to make it happen.
Excuse no 3: The Past
This excuse can come in many forms. ‘Someone wronged me in the past’, This happened in the past so now I’m so far behind I can’t get there’ and on and on it goes. Listen! you can either have results or excuses, you can’t have both. Your past is gone now. What is the point in using up your precious energy, draining yourself of all your power, all for something you can not change? It’s insanity.
You have to let go of the past, whatever happened, whoever wronged you, let it go! That doesn’t mean you let them get away with it or that what they did was acceptable. It means that your future and your happiness is more important than your excuses. Take responsibility for your life now. Leave the past behind and create a better future!
Excuse no 4: Money
Many people out there claim that can’t succeed because they or their parents or family do not have the finance to start. The majority of the great entrepreneurs started with nothing or close to nothing. If you don’t have the resources, you need to be more resourceful. If you don’t have the money, you can either convince someone to lend you some, convince someone to invest in you, or built it up.
One thing is for sure, you are not going to get it making excuses. Many of the best companies these days are started and grown with investor funding. If you truly have a great business, not an idea but something great to offer. There will be plenty of investors and backers. If you truly want it bad enough, you will find a way to get the money. Whatever it takes, begging, friends, family, crowdfunding, just make it happen.
Excuse no 5: It’s too hard.
The theory that it’s too hard to go after your dream life is crazy to any successful person, who can clearly see living a life you don’t want is much harder than the temporary discomfort and effort required to make that dream happen.
It’s much harder living with regret for your entire life than living with struggle and discomfort for a short period while you work your way to your dream. Suffer now if you have to, so you don’t have to later.
Excuse no 6: I Don’t Know
What to do or where to start. Chances are whatever your goal is, there is someone who you can reference that has started and succeeded under similar conditions. Find reference points of highly successful people, use their success and failure as the reference points and tweak it to your business and goal.
Model the great but always do it in your own unique way, to suit your own unique goals.
Excuse no 7: The Conditions Are Not Right.
The most common excuse is the conditions are not right, I’ll do it when I have more ________________! The time will never be right and the conditions will never be perfect! You must take action. Even the smallest step to get you going, get some momentum.
Once you start heading towards your dream life, you won’t be able to stop. Because if it is really your passion and purpose, you will be so excited about the possibilities that thoughts will flow, opportunities will come and your goal will become more important than all the insignificant things in your life. Don’t wait for the conditions to be right to start. Start now, wherever you are, with whatever you have and make the conditions right along the way.
Sideline the excuses, and come to the race!
Did you get a problem with your life? problem with your environment? Do something about it. If you want it, go get it. Recognize that excuses are not valid. They are conjured up, they are fabricated, they are lies. And how o you stop the lies? You stop the lies with the truth. And the truth is you have time, you have skills, you have the knowledge, you have the support, and the will power, and the discipline to get it done.
The fruit of everything good in life begins with a challenge. Everything is uphill that’s worthwhile. And it’s not going to come to you and it’s not going to fall in your lap and it’snot going to be something that, Oh my gosh! It just was so simple, It’s always going to be difficult.
