So for those of you who were hiding under a rock and are unaware, Adam Levine got hitched to Victoria’s Secret Model Behati Prinsloo this past weekend. If you hadn’t heard, I’m sorry I had to be the one to break the news to you. Before you rush to the nearest bathroom to grab some tissues and start scooping the Ben & Jerry’s, let’s try to take the mature approach and look at all the reasons why Adam Levine will make a great hubby.
1- His Good Looks
First and foremost, we gotta start with the basics. The man is beautiful. Who wouldn’t want to snuggle up with him after a hard, long day of work?! He even makes tattoo sleeves sexy. We simply can’t find much wrong with this perfect physical specimen of a man.
2- His Angelic Voice
The man is more than just a beautiful face…and body… OMG, those abs. Okay, I’m stopping. Adam Levine also has the voice of an angel. When he hits those high notes, it’s pure perfection. Although it might seem cheesy, we all know we would love to have a husband that could serenade us at a moment’s notice. I’m swooning just thinking about it.
3- His Playful Personality
Not only is he a superstar with a great body, but he ALSO seems like a really fun guy with whom you’d want to hang out– whether you’re a girl or a guy. On the Voice, he’s always bro-ing out with Blake Shelton. They tease each other back-and-forth and it’s just super cute. Adam obviously has a playful side to his personality and what girl doesn’t want her man to be playful at times?!
4- He’s Not Afraid To Talk About His Insecurities
Even though he’s a megastar, Adam Levine still shows us he’s no different than we are. He struggles with insecurities just like the rest of us. You may have seen Adam in a Proactiv commercial during which he talks about the struggle he’s had with acne. Aww, Adam! We feel your pain, bud, and you’re not alone. Showing us that he’s human and has struggled with body image issues makes us love him that much more! Being able to admit your flaws is something that’s definitely on the list of qualities for a perfect husband…We’ll take your flaws anyway of the week, Adam!
5- He Stands Up For His Friends
Some of you may remember the time that Adam Levine stood up for his fellow Voice coach Christina Aguilera when she was under fire for weight gain. Adam addressed the issue on Ellen stating very clearly that she should be left alone. On the show, he told Ellen, “It’s a very basic thing. She should be left alone. No one should bother or haggle her about her weight or anything that she does or says. So, that’s it. That’s how I feel about it.” A man that defends his female friend ESPECIALLY when it comes to her weight screams marriage material. Adam, we love that you can love us the way we are.
6- He Admits When He’s Made A Mistake
In the past, Adam Levine hasn’t always been marriage material. We love the guy, but let’s be real- he did have his not-so-hot moments. However, the man has changed. He’s admitted that he’s made mistakes in past relationships. It’s been reported by US Weekly that Adam wanted to enter his marriage with a clean slate and, so, he went and apologized to past girlfriends for the way he treated them. Although he can’t take back the things he did, we applaud you, Adam, for trying to make amends. It’s really important in relationships to admit when you’ve done something wrong and the fact that Adam has done this shows that he’s definitely made a change from ‘model lover’ to ‘model husband’.
7- He Shows He Cares
To show his Supermodel wife that he cares, there’s a rumor that Adam may get a tattoo of Behati’s name over his heart. Adam wants to show his bride that his love for her is permanent by getting something permanent on his body. A man who wants to shows his steadfast love and fidelity to his wife is a man who definitely fits the bill for a perfect husband.
Basically, Adam Levine, although we can’t have you, we just wanted to let you know that we think Behati is one lucky lady and we wish you both the best.
