You don’t have to be great to start; you have to start to become great.

Successful people are those who accomplish their aim or desired status. We don’t have to be prefect to remarkable. Aim high but manage the expectations of success. The people see 30%, they don’t see the other 70% of not making it or not getting what you want. An interesting thing is that when you are honorable to achievement; the wealth and that kind of thing comes automatically. This journey is being able to be flexible. Go where your passion leads you and feel free. Performance mattered not fame and money. How well did you do at something is what mattered.

What success mean?

Success means different things to different people. For some success might be financial achievements, becoming a millionaire for example. It might mean accolades for some. For sportsmen it might mean trophies. For some, being successful might simply mean, health or happiness, achieving a state of wellness. Success could mean making a difference. It could mean being able to do things you love. For some, success mean helping you and others to become better and happier.

Habits of successful people:

Whatever it means to you take a note of these 10 habits. These habits apply to any area and any meaning of success.

  • Setting of goals:

You have probably never met a successful person who doesn’t set goals because the chances of you finding what you want without a clear target to move forward are right around zero.

  • They take responsibility of their life:

If something does not work out, they don’t blame others. They learn the lesson. Learn one more way not to do something.

  • Self-discipline:

They have great self-discipline. Discipline is a strong characteristic of all successful people. It can be developed with consistent use.

  • Self-development:

These people are obsessed with self-development. If you have given up working on yourself, you can’t claim to be successful. The more you learn the more you will earn.

  • Reading:

Reading is a common past time of many highly successful people. If you don’t like reading, try audio books. You can play them in your car.

  • Time management:

Time management is essential to success. Unsuccessful people usually get stressed and stunned, when there are too many responsibilities on their to-do list. Successful people are rarely fazed.

  • Risk taking:

If you can’t buy a ticket, you can’t win the raffle. If you don’t take big risks; you can’t achieve big rewards.

  • Keep going when you suffer failure:

We all suffer failure. Many of us might even lose everything. Most quit, the successful person never quit. They keep going knowing their greatest character is formed in adversity.

  • Find a way to win:

Successful people find a way or period to deal with whatever life throws their way. Dodge it, smash through it, whatever is required they find a way to win.

  • Do what you love:

If you are not doing what you love, you can’t really privilege yourself a success. Spending the majority of your life doing things you hate for money is not successful living. It’s a torture to soul.

Education and success:

First of all, we have to understand the worth of education. Education helps to make you better at your skills and enhance your learning. It refines your personality and make you view the world differently. When you got higher degree of education, you earn respect from family and society. Education gives surety of place among people in society. We would not be able to get wider view of world without education.

Youth today cite the examples of successful people who didn’t graduate from school but still are successful. The founder of famous social media app Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg didn’t graduate from Harvard university at that time but still got success. Even though he didn’t graduate but he was well educated. He had knowledge of coding. We can learn from him that education is not limited. It can widen our knowledge in any way. Don’t confuse education with getting a higher degree or diplomas. In or out education can make you achieve success and can give you your desire career.

Success and happiness:

As growing up you taught that the following would lead to success and happiness.

First, Good grades

Second, Good college

Third, Good career

So that’s what most people do. But after achieving all this some people found themselves not that happy with their life. They start questioning of what they have been told, what they have been learned. Later they have come to learn a lot of things informed by the field of psychology. First thing is really important from the work of carol dweck and others at Stanford university on the importance of developing growth mindset as opposed to a fixed mindset.

What these researches have taught us is that fixed mindset is where you think about your skills, qualities and attributes as being inflexible not going to change. These are the things that determine success in life. Researchers suggest that who have the fixed mindset tend to actually shy away from seeking out interesting opportunities for growth and development. They tend to fear failure and therefore not pursue the things that could be rewarding and meaningful for them.

On the other hand, other people operate by what called a growth mindset. They believe that our talents, qualities or abilities are malleable that with persistent dedicated effort we can grow, we can improve, we can change. In fact, over time these people tend to pursue more challenging opportunities. Find ways to grow and develop. These people embrace failure and give themselves opportunities to make their lives and other lives better. Finally, these people actually outperform the fixed mindset people that its more your mindset than even things like intelligence like IQ that will determine your success and happiness in life. Sadly, most of us don’t know this growing up. But you can shift from having fixed mindset to growth mindset.
